Actual article date: Jan 25, 2014

Through winter at the end of 2013 to early 2014, we again had the opportunity to work with an intern of strong consulting background. Therefore, she was pretty comfortable in jumping around the different work that we needed help with.

So what are her thoughts regarding the winter internship at Jublia? (Oh yes, the previous questions were pretty good, so we are gonna re-use it again!)

How was your experience working with the guys in Jublia? Did they bully you?

The experience was truly amazing! People here in Jublia are friendly and helpful. The firm has a flat structure, we worked together in an open office space and we are free to speak out our own ideas. Managers are approachable, they would love to answer any questions you may have and share with you their experience. Jublia has a great team!

What did you help with at Jublia and was it a fulfilling learning experience? Did you learn anything?

I contributed to Jublia’s financial management system and sales&marketing area. For finance, I analysed Jublia’s yearly financial data and designed templates for documentation and financial performance evaluation. For sales&marketing, my main contribution was working out the sales strategy and process map with the team.

The learning experience was enriching and fulfilling. SaaS was totally a new concept to me at the beginning, I learned about the industry through discussions with the team and reading through lots of articles. The learning curve is steep but full of fun at the same time. Understanding the dynamics of technology start-up companies and learning effective marketing and sales tactics is also very beneficial for my future development.

Do you think that the team is kickass?

Jublia has a dynamic and open-minded team. We had a lot of fun together! Culture here is diverse, we come from different backgrounds and we shared with each other fun stories we encountered from different parts of the world.

Lastly, any memorable moments that you have made with your short tenure at Jublia?

Lots of memorable moments! We had team lunches and dinners together, and we watched inspiring movies together on Friday afternoons. One particular memorable moment was that during one of my presentations in the team, we held different opinions about learning styles, and had a really heated debate. Through the discussion, each team member expressed their views freely and generated new ideas in the process. I really like the exciting working environment here at Jublia!

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an event engagement platform actually do?
An event engagement platform takes static event data (agendas, exhibitors, attendees) and turns it into interactions that actually happen. It powers matchmaking, agenda discovery, in-app messaging, and interactive maps from a single backbone, so the experience feels coherent rather than ten disconnected tools stitched together.
How can organizers automate attendee communications and structured networking?
Attendee communications and meeting management both run on the same fuel: behavioral data and the ability to act on it. Organizers need a CRM that tracks what attendees do, a campaign tool that triggers messages based on those actions, and a meeting manager that handles 1-on-1 and group sessions cleanly. Jublia AI bundles this through Attendee CRM, Campaign Courier, and Meeting Manager.
How should organizers evaluate event engagement technology for their event?
Every event has different scale, audience, and engagement goals, so off-the-shelf packages rarely fit. Organizers should evaluate platforms on three things: how the tech maps to their specific attendee journey, what setup support is included, and whether pricing scales with their event size. The right partner makes this scoping conversation early, before committing.
