Earlier this year, the Ajban Defense Industry and Technology Exhibition, organized by Kleos Exhibitions, made a resounding first edition. Held at the prestigious Tawazun Defense Hall in Abu Dhabi on 20-21 February 2024, this event was anything but ordinary.
The exhibition was hailed as a groundbreaking event in the UAE and the wider region, uniquely combining traditional exhibition stands with targeted one-on-one meetings, facilitating direct engagement between defense manufacturing companies and local suppliers to explore potential collaborations and address sector-specific needs.
Ajban Defense Industry and Technology Exhibition managed to attract a significant number of key players in the defense sector. The event featured over 120 exhibitors representing 26 different industrial and technological sectors, and drew in more than 700 visiting buyers. This turnout underscores the event’s importance and its ability to bring together a focused audience. To enhance attendee experience and engagement, Kleos Exhibition partnered with Jublia to develop a robust digital platform, ensuring seamless interaction and efficient networking.
Understanding the diverse backgrounds of its attendees, the organizers prioritized tailored exposure for various sectors. Jublia’s digital platform featured a “Category” search function as a top suggestion, ensuring participants could easily navigate and find relevant connections. This strategic feature proved highly effective, with “Category” searches dominating the “Trends” section, highlighting the attendees’ focused interests and facilitating meaningful engagement.
A key objective of the exhibition was to serve as a central hub for the defense industry’s supply chain. The event surpassed expectations, generating over 2,500 meeting requests. This high level of engagement reflected the attendees’ eagerness to explore collaborative opportunities and engage in substantive discussions. More importantly, it aligned with the organizer’s goals to provide a platform that connected attendees, created opportunities, and fostered a highly engaged event.
The success of Ajban Defense Industry and Technology Exhibition can be attributed in part to the high adoption rate of its digital platform. Over 60% of event stakeholders utilized the platform, facilitating numerous interactions and contributing to the event’s overall success. This high level of digital engagement not only enhanced the attendee experience but also provided valuable insights for future events.
