MMBC 2013: Internationalisation of SMEs: Strategies and Opportunities is an event hosted by the Singapore Malay Chambers of Commerce and Industry (SMCCI) at the Resorts World Convention Centre. It was organised by a dynamic team from the integrated transmedia company ATeR | ReTA. It gave Jublia great honour and pleasure to work with the committee involved in putting together this business conference that saw the likes of numerous distinguished guest gracing the occasion. It was certainly a regional conference that brought together top mover and shakers largely from the malay muslim community, presenting an exciting learning and networking experience.

The participants of MMBC2013 comprised of enterprises in both the public and private sectors, mostly from the South East Asia region, making it a very interesting place to network. Jublia’s involvement in MMBC2013 came under the umbrella of ATeR| ReTA’s existing networking solution called WeNetwork. This comprised a system where participants could SMS each other through a proxy server making their messages anonymous. While this system functioned in-event, Jublia took care of the pre-event matching of people to each other based on relevance as well as the choices made.

On the event day itself, it was thrilling to talk to participants who were first time users of Jublia’s pre-event networking solution. Many were intrigued by the ability to procure leads right before they stepped into the event. The potential of networking at MMBC was tremendous and the team at Jublia had a good time working with both the organisers and hosts of this regional event.
